Winter has started for good. Luckily this year I have a proper one, so I am covered, warm and happy. Buying a good outwear, is not a piece a cake, though. You have to dig through hundreds of items that may be trendy and fashionable, but are actually useless. To avoid buying such pieces I follow a few rules and, trust me, it works like a charm.

1. QUALITY. I always read the label. We live in a reign of cheap acrylics and even designers use it. Crucial is to check the percentage of wool in ‘the wool’. Polyester is a material full of paradoxes. It won’t keep you warm, but will make you sweat. Additionally, polyester sweat smells like feet.
2. LAYERING. Layering is a trend this year, but there is a reason behind it. It rarely happens, I wear a winter coat only with a tee or strappy top. If you, like me, want to wear a jumper with it, make sure to have enough space for it.
3. AVOID SNOWMAN SYNDROME. Avoid looking like a giant pile of clothes. Be patient, try different designs and learn about your body. Remember, warm doesn’t mean ugly.
4. PRIORITING. Never forget to keep your body covered Naked kidneys during snow storm? I don’t think so…
5. POCKETS. For me buying a jacket with unusable pockets is like going for a dinner and end up only drinking water. Why? Two reasons: A. I tuck hands inside the pockets when it’s freezing. B. I keep my lip balm in it to keep it handy.

I was very excited ordering it, cos it looks so glamorous. My feelings about it were right- since it arrived I wear it all the time and I love how it looks.

I went for gray color, very true to what I saw on the website. Sizing wise, I went for L. I like to keep my coats oversized, so usually I go for a bigger size than my regular one. Here additional reason to do so was the length. I wanted the coat to be long enough to cover half of my calfs. To find a perfect length I used the measurements provided by the site and what I got is exactly what I expected. Tidestore Reviews --HOW TO GET A NEW PERSPECTIVE

Currently, I feel like it is a time to make a change in my life, but I did not decide what kind of a change I need. I feel emotionally burned out. I feel that before making my change I need to get a new perspective, before making any life changing decisions.

Sounds easy? Apparently, it is not as easy as I expected. Here are steps I took, to get some life inspiration and reasons why it worked like a charm.

1. GET AWAY. Anywhere. I don’t mean super expensive holidays. For me adding additional expenses to my already long list would not inspire me. It would make me stressed. The idea of getting away is about going to a place you feel comfortable in, so my choice was to visit my friends home in a small town nearby.

2. BE INA  GOOD COMPANY. This one correlates with the previous one. Looking for comfort, I would not go for holidays, where I have to meet with strangers. It is not only stressful but also prevents from opening to what is deep, deep inside you.

3. SPEND TIME ALONE. This one contradicts the previous one. I know. But the thing is that only alone I can rethink my all decisions, so wherever you are at the time of getting new perspective, make sure you will have a bit of time only for yourself.

4. HAVE FUN. Why? Because it is fun per se and it elevates your mood. Better mood gives positive energy and this energy helps to open eyes to new possibilities. So simple, my friends, so simple.

5. DO YOGA. I always mention yoga in these posts, but as I see it, yoga with its meditation helps for every single thing. And that is it.

Following these steps is not a magic wand. It does not take all the troubles away. What it did for me is helping me to find myself. Now I know how I feel and what I expect from life. Maybe I got a slightly little bit wiser now, haha.

If you aren`t someone who likes looking too festive , I would incorporate some velvet , since it is a texture we associate with the holidays but it`s not too festive. Also since velvet is so huge this season there are so many gorgeous pieces out there to chose from.
